Allentown Anglophile Illick's Mill Before the Purple Owl opened late in 1966 there were a few places for bands to play other than high schools parties and fraternities. There had been a teen club in the mid 60's located in downtown Allentown called I like it like that. Then there was the Hub at the Allentown YMCA which had bands and in Bethlehem Illick's Mill is where it was all happening. An old stone farmhouse is where the teen club was located.
